Description

Haier’s Super T3 Pro is built around one claim that is unusually specific: full rated BTU output at 46°C outdoor ambient, and stable operation up to 65°C. Most air conditioners quietly lose capacity long before that.

What the numbers actually say

Cooling capacity is 21,000 BTU/h measured at 35°C ambient, falling only to 19,000 BTU/h at 46°C. That second figure is the one worth reading. A unit that produces good numbers at 35°C and collapses at 45°C is no use in June. Heating capacity is 22,000 BTU/h, so it is a genuinely capable heater too, not an afterthought.

Running on unstable power

This is UPS-enabled. With the additional device fitted, the PCB monitors the incoming supply and switches automatically to UPS power at low frequency when it detects 0V, so the unit keeps running through load shedding instead of shutting down and restarting. Running current spans 2.3 to 9.0A cooling and 2.4 to 8.3A heating, with power input from 0.52 to 2.06 kW, so it throttles across a wide band rather than running flat out.

Self-cleaning

Haier’s approach differs from the usual dry-out cycle. Cold Expansion Technology deliberately freezes moisture onto the evaporator surface, then removes the accumulated dirt with it during defrost. The point is the evaporator, where dampness and dust otherwise let bacteria establish and where the air you breathe passes.

Build and control

R32 refrigerant. Air circulation 1,100 m³/h. The condenser is 100% copper with anti-corrosion protection, which matters in humid or dusty air where aluminium fins pit. WiFi is built in, so the unit runs from the Haier Smart app, and AI ECO mode manages consumption automatically.
