Description

Econo+ X is aimed at the room that stays on for long stretches rather than the room you need cold in five minutes. Its Minimum Energy Mode is the point of the model.

Coil coating, and why it differs

Where most of the Dawlance range uses Gold Fin, this one uses a hydrophilic coating on both condenser and evaporator. Hydrophilic coatings shed condensate faster, which helps drainage and keeps the coil surface clearer between cleans. It is a different approach to the same problem rather than a cheaper one, and worth knowing if you are comparing spec sheets line by line.

Capacity and range

18,000 BTU/h cooling and 18,000 heating, reversible. Cooling ambient range is 16°C to 48°C, heating -10°C to 30°C, so it will hold through a cold night better than several units in the range.

Running economy

Minimum Energy Mode holds power draw as low as the load allows rather than chasing the setpoint hard. Both fan motors are DC, so fan speed varies continuously with demand instead of stepping. Over a long summer of daily use that is where the saving accumulates.

Comfort features

I-Feel remote sensing, self-cleaning evaporator, Jet Cool for when you do need fast pull-down, sleep mode and an easily removable filter. Indoor unit is 13.5 kg in white.
