Dual Pro T3 Inverter 45

Description

This is the 2 ton unit in the Dual Pro T3 line, and it exists for rooms where a 1.5 ton runs continuously and still loses ground on a June afternoon. Halls, open-plan living rooms, and shop floors are what it is sized for.

Capacity and range

Rated at 2 tons, roughly 24,000 BTU/h, and reversible for heating. Cooling ambient range runs 16°C to 52°C, heating from -10°C to 30°C, which is a notably wide heating envelope. Heating efficiency is rated 3.21 W/W with an A rating.

Current draw

Cooling running current is 10.1A and heating 8.9A. Worth noting that the 2 ton draws barely more current than the 1.5 ton version of the same model, so if your room genuinely needs 2 tons you are not paying a large running penalty for the extra capacity. Undersizing would cost you more.

Build

DC inverter LVS compressor for low-voltage starting. Gold Fin on condenser and evaporator against corrosion. Self-cleaning evaporator, I-Feel remote sensing, Jet Cool for fast pull-down, silent mode, sleep mode, auto swing and auto-restart. This one uses a washable dust filter rather than the removable cartridge type.

Before you commit

A 2 ton outdoor unit is heavy and needs proper bracket work and clearance for airflow. Check your wall and the space around the mounting point, and check the breaker on that circuit, before installation day.
